The 'Lady Triplet's
There are three 'Lady Triplets' - they are in fact identical triplets. It's possible if a fertilized ovum splits and then one splits again.
'Our' Lady Triplet is Lady Annabelle Triplet. She is ruthless, cunning but fond of her family in her own way.
Lady Isabelle Triplet is selfish, ruthless and cold blooded. She is quite without a concience. She took Lady Annabelle's place after the wedding of Donna and Richard. She was brought up in Taiwan.
Lady Clarabelle Triplet agonises over what she knows she must do. Of all the Lady Triplets she is the most soft hearted. That won't stop her from a little murder if she thinks there is no alternative. She was brought up in Australia.
The Ancient Message
The message was written in thirteen different languages and contained 4199 words. James noticed that 4199 is 13 x 17 x 19; three prime numbers. He noticed that every 323 words, hiroglyphics were used twice and an unknown symbol occured three times at positions 1, 17 and 163. using this as a clue he arranged the first 323 words in a 17 x 19 grid and got this:
James then noticed that some languages never occured at one or more edges. For example Phoenician and Sanskrit words never appear on the bottom row but appear on every other edge of the block of words. Since it's impossible to move down from the bottom row he reolised that the next worn from 'show' must be 'path'. Old Chinese and Punic never appear on the bottom or right edges of the block so the next word must be down and to the right - 'peace'. using the same method he worked out the rest of the 'next words.'
Now it was just a matter of where the message started. He looked at the unknown symbols 
. These appeared to be a drawing rather than a word. In each block of 323 words he noticed that a hierogliphic appeared next to one of these symbols and was always the word Anubis which can be written in heiroglipics as

. The direction the animals face shows the direction of the next word. In the first block shown above the second word of the message would be 'comes'.
So here's the translated message. For the moment words written in the unknown symbols have been ignored and skipped over.
“Anubis comes in year six thousand one hundred thirty five after wolf shines. Prepared or die.
Find key stones. Show path. Complete path must travel pyramid far side Luna. Only taking small steps can complete journey. Beware key in chaos. Only with ruthlessness and kindness and death and life within spiral life shall we meet. Final destination you find power. Scholar find instruction move city. Power one hundred twenty six and three hundred ten. Join with three seventeen which thirty seven. People met your history many times. Was not will you be awe. Ra decided leave you make way. When prove yourselves journey shall meet again. You will join in friendship if have learnt control hate fear. Guide our will. Home Orion. When last came saw Gods. Of Orion men as you. Race young but much offer. Value strange music literature. Leader must rule secrecy. Is your nature. Leader must fierce rule will fall. Those without philosophy must breed carefully continue line fierce power. Build into line seer and scholar. Brother and sister with different mother make strength but strength weakest not strongest. Beware strong they necessary but dangerous without knowledge. Their children child child show path peace friendship. Let knowledge, capability power guide path. This alone leads order."
Adding some extra words, not used in the ancient languages, gives the message more meaning:
“Anubis comes in [the] year six thousand one hundred thirty five after wolf shines. [Be] prepared or die.
Find [the] key stones. [They will] show [the] path. [To] complete [the] path [you] must travel [to the] pyramid [on the] far side [of] Luna.
Only [in] taking small steps can [you] complete [the] journey. Beware [of using] key in chaos.
Only with ruthlessness and kindness and death and life within [the] spiral [of] life shall we meet.
[At the] final destination you [will] find [the] power. [A] scholar [will] find instruction [to] move [your] city.
[The] power [is] one hundred [and] twenty six and three hundred [and] ten. Join [it] with three [of] seventeen which [is] thirty [and] seven.
[Our] people [have] met [in] your history many times. [It] was not [our] will [that] you be [in] awe. Ra decided [we] leave you [to] make [your] way. When [you] prove yourselves [by] journey [we] shall meet again [and] you will join [us] in friendship if [you] have learnt [to] control hate [and] fear.
[To] guide [is] our will. [Our] home [is in] Orion. When last [we] came [you] saw Gods. [We] of Orion [are] men as you.

Those without philosophy must breed carefully [to] continue [the] line [of] fierce power. Build into [the] line [the] seer and [the] scholar. Brother and sister with different mother [will] make strength but strength [is the] weakest not [the] strongest. Beware [the] strong they [are] necessary but dangerous without knowledge. Their children [and] child [of] child [will] show [the] path [to] peace [and] friendship.
Let knowledge, capability [and] power guide [your] path. This alone leads [to] order.
James then started work on the unknown symbols used and quickly figured out that they represented numbers in base 16. The 'unknown's in the message were numbers and DNA sequences. Here's the numbers:
The aliens also used four symbols to represent the four nucleotides in DNA
The message then, turned out to be a warning and instructions to go on a journey to locate a power source. It included l.ocations and DNA sequences.
The Locations visited
Menkaure's Pyramid
The first location in the quest is Menkaure's pyramid is the smallest of the three 'great' pyramids and was built around 2600 BCE.
The picture shown here is of the North and East faces. In the North (shadowed) face you can see the gash left by an attempt to demolish the pyramids by Saladin's son around 1195 CE. The task proved too great.
This image by Artem Miroshnichenko shows the western face of the pyramid where the keystone was used. of course there is no doubt that this structure was man made although just how bronze age man managed to cut granite and limestone and erect such huge structures remains a mystery.
Yonaguni Jima
Yonaguni Jima, a Japanese island 70 miles east of Taiwan was the next destination. A few hundred yards off it's south-east coast is a structure once visible but now underwater. It looks man-made. Take a look at the video and see what you think.
Adam’s Peak
The third destination was Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) in Sri Lanka. This mountain has been a place of pilgramage for centuaries and is considered a holy place by Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Christians. There are two things which draw attention to it. The first is an indentation in a rock at the sumit. it's supposed to be the footprint of Buddah, Shiva, Adam or St. Thomas (choose your own religion). If it is a footprint, then the person who made it had big feet - it's about two feet long.
The second item of interest is that in April the rising sun casts a pyramid shaped shadow.
Although it's been altered to create paths, temples and shrines, this one is definately natural.
Gobekli Tepe
Location five is a low hill near Urfa in Turkey. It's name means potbelly hill. Relatively few people have heard of it but it's probably the oldest stone structure made by man. it's 11,000 years old and was built just before the dawn of agriculture. It's far older than Stonehenge or the pyramids.
Gobekli Tepe consists of 'T' shaped pillars of stone, aranged in circles. Some are 16 feet high and weigh up to ten tonnes. They were carved from local limestone with flint tools - metals had not yet been invented. Some have animals carved on them. Each circle is surrounded by another circle of smaller 'T' shaped stones. Having been cut and positioned, the stones were then deliberately buried! No-one knows how people who were hunter-gatherers were organised to construct this earliest of man made structures, nor why they did it. What is likely is that the construction of the stone rings here led to the developement of the first permanent settlements, agriculture (the world's oldest wheat was found near here) and the first domestic animals.
Pyramid of Hellinikon
This 'pyramid' was probably the base of a watchtower fort. It dates from about the time of the pyramids in Egypt and was first mentioned in literature about 2 AD as dating from a much earlier period.
Monte d’Accoddi Megalith, Sardinia.
This 'pyramid' was built 3020-2970 BCE which makes it slightly older than the Egyptian pyramids. it's unusual in that it has a step pyramid, a menhir (tall upright stone), a dolmen (megalithic tomb with a large flat stone laid on upright ones) and a stone sphere all in the same location. Stonehenge, the Heel Stone
Stonehenge is one of the world's best known megalithic structures. The stone circle you see today dates from about 2,500 BCE. Near it you'll find 'The Heel Stone' which was the location of our eighth destination.

Oddly, just after we had written the first draft of Stones, Stars and Solutions, we found someone had attacked the Heel Stone with a hammer using a screwdriver as a chisel just as we said in the book.
Spirit Canyon, Arkansas
The nineth location is loosly based on a real place. There is a cave there and it's well hidden. So well hidden that we are not going to tell you exactly where it is. Connie - who's a real person we borrowed a name from, knows where it is too.
Mount Shasta, California
Mount Shasta is a dormant volcano in California. It's a favourite climbing location and it's sacred to local indian tribes. According to Wikipedia
